Spring Valley Lake
“Wakeboarders” score big at Canyon Lake!
On Saturday, April 10th, riders from Spring
Valley Lake headed
to Canyon Lake Wakeboard Club’s first tournament of the year. Canyon
Lake is the Mecca of Southern
California wakeboarding and it has been a privilege to be able to participate
in their events.
It was a great day of riding and renewing friendships from
last season’s tournaments. Professional Wakeboarder Ricky Gonzales was there to
ride in the open class as he out rode all of the other riders in his division. Spring
Valley Lake
co-president, Thomas Davis, placed first in the men’s division. Michael
Mistretta placed second and Jamison Willis placed fourth in the Jr. Novice
Division. Caleb Willis placed first and David Mistretta placed 3rd
in the Boys division. Louie Mistretta placed first and Andy Lynch placed second
in the Novice division.
Other riders from Spring Valley
Lake included: Lorene Jewitte, Luke,
Steven Williams, Anthony Zine, Mike Willis and Greg Mistretta. This was the beginning
of the tournament season. The above riders will be riding in over 15
tournaments this summer throughout Southern California.
Many of our riders are also preparing for “Nationals” in Indianapolis
in August and “Worlds” in Florida
in September.
